How long does the appointment process take?
This varies from appointment to appointment and the process can be quite lengthy. It is common for several months to pass between application and appointment because of the process used by the Scottish Government. However, the Code of Practice aims to remove unnecessary delays and provide a degree of certainty. Under the Code, the application pack must include the interview date(s) and planned date of appointment, so that applicants can see how the appointment should progress.
